About the Forum

The eighth Forum was held in Manila and online on 31 August 2022, in collaboration with the University of the Philippines Open University, and streamed live on its platforms.

It discussed case studies across sustainability science, policy and practice: how women are represented in disruptive industries, the attraction and retention of women in sustainability roles, inclusive business models and women entrepreneurs.

Women and the circular economy, clean water, awareness of the SDGs in Sri Lanka, and climate change, agriculture and gender in the Philippines, Vietnam and Lao PDR.

Education and future focused sustainability

Building communities for better futures through slow fashion in Colombia, sustainable healthcare, women’s participation in biodiversity management, and online communities for sustainable development.
