The International Journal of Women, Sustainability and Leadership Studies is an international, peer reviewed, open access journal, published online by WSF in collaboration with IBF International Institute for Better Futures.
It publishes research, reports and literature reviews on gender, sustainability, climate change and leadership, and accepts articles in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

How to prepare your article

01Manuscript and structureSubmit your article in Microsoft Word, using the journal template.+
- Title
- Author names, designations, affiliations and contact details
- Abstract and keywords
- Introduction
- Literature review
- Methodology
- Discussion and results
- Conclusion and recommendations
- References
02First pageWhat goes on the first page of your manuscript.+
- Names, designations and affiliations of all authors
- Contact details: email, and physical address if relevant
- Abstract of no more than 250 words
- Six keywords after the abstract (not counted in the 250 words)
03FormatKeep the layout simple and consistent.+
- Font: Palatino
- Headings 24 pt, subtitles 11.5 pt, body text 9.5 pt
- Single line spacing (1.0)
- Include page numbers
- No header or footer that identifies the authors
- Use endnotes, not footnotes
04Referencing and styleFollow APA style throughout.+
- In text citations in APA style, for example (Author, year)
- Reference list at the end of the article
- English articles use American spelling, for example -ize rather than -ise
- Numbers zero to ten in words, and any number that starts a sentence; numerals from 11 onwards
- Double quotation marks for quotes, single marks for a quote within a quote
- Quotes longer than three lines: single spaced and indented
- Use . . . for omissions and square brackets for additions, such as [sic]
- Single quotation marks to highlight a term
05Author biographiesSend a short biography for each author as a separate document.
